Words from our clients.

Don't just take our word for it.

Jacob and his team have done great work on our two commercial pools. After the hurricane he had every opportunity to price gouge us like almost everyone is doing, but instead he gave us a very fair deal and showed up to help us get back online. Very grateful to have a good and honest pool company who has our back. Highly recommend this company.

I can't say enough good things about Jacob at Pool Optics, by far the best pool service that I've had. I own an Air BnB and Jacob has always been able to keep the pool perfect for my tenants. I've been through a number of companies over the years until I found Jacob — he is a true professional who goes above and beyond.

After my pool was flooded by hurricane Helene with class three water, these guys brought it back to life — and they did it in a professional, timely, and responsive fashion! Couldn't recommend them more highly!

Stellar service! If you're looking for a solid pool company that answers immediately and gets you in early — this is your stop. Jacob is incredible. We purchased a home in Oldsmar with a heated salt water pool and had no clue what to do. Within 3 days he was out, cleaned the pool, and even cleared a TON of debris off our cage. Highly recommend!

FAQ

Pool service, answered.

The questions homeowners ask us most often.

How often should my pool be cleaned in Florida?

Florida heat keeps algae and chemistry moving year-round, so weekly service is the right cadence for almost every residential pool in Tampa Bay. A single skipped week in summer can drop chlorine residual to zero and turn a clear pool green within a few days. Vacation rentals and high-bather-load pools sometimes go twice weekly.

How much does Pool Optics charge for weekly pool service?

Most residential weekly service runs between $130 and $200 per month, depending on pool size, equipment (salt vs. chlorine, heater, attached spa), and how much debris the yard sheds. We give a firm quote after a quick photo review of the pool — no surprise charges and no long-term contracts.

What's included on every weekly visit?

Skimming the surface, vacuuming the floor, brushing walls and tile, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, full water testing (free and total chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid), and chemical dosing. Filter cleans are scheduled separately based on filter type. You get a photo report after every visit.

Do you service my area in Tampa Bay or Pinellas?

We cover 18 cities and neighborhoods across Pinellas County and west Hillsborough — St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, Seminole, Palm Harbor, the beaches, and the South Tampa neighborhoods including Hyde Park, Westshore, Tampa Heights, and Davis Islands. Check our service areas page or call to confirm your address.

How fast can I get started with Pool Optics?

For most addresses we can have a technician on-site within 2–4 business days of your initial inquiry — sooner if you're on an existing weekly route. Send a quote request with one or two photos of the pool and we'll respond the same business day with a firm price and a start date.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Pool Optics is a CPO (Certified Pool & Spa Operator) shop, NSPF/PHTA certified, and fully insured with $1M general liability. Same technician every visit, transparent pricing, and a documented service report so you always know exactly what was done.

06 — About the service

Pool cleaning, done the right way.

Trusted residential and commercial pool service across Tampa Bay and Pinellas County.

Weekly pool maintenance you can rely on

Pool Optics provides professional pool cleaning in St. Petersburg, pool cleaning in Clearwater, and weekly pool maintenance for homeowners and property managers across Largo, Seminole, Palm Harbor and the surrounding Pinellas and Hillsborough communities. Every visit covers skimming, vacuuming, wall and tile brushing, basket emptying, water testing and chemical balancing — the same checklist, every week, so your pool stays swim-ready year round.

Chemical balancing, algae treatment, and salt systems

Florida heat is hard on pool water. Our CPO-certified technicians test free and total chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid on every visit, and dose the pool with liquid chlorine, muriatic acid, stabilizer or salt as needed. We diagnose green pools, cloudy water, mustard and black algae, scaling, staining and salt cell issues, and bring water back into proper balance with a documented service report.

Deep cleans and pool restoration

For neglected and seasonal pools we offer a one-time deep clean: heavy debris removal, full filter breakdown and acid wash, surface scrubbing, shock treatment and chemical reset. It is the fastest way to take a green or stained pool back to a clean, swimmable condition before starting weekly service.

Equipment, filters and spa service

We service cartridge, sand and DE filters, troubleshoot pumps, heaters, chlorinators and salt cells, and look after residential hot tubs and spas alongside the main pool. If a repair is beyond a routine visit, you get a clear written quote — no surprise charges and no upselling.
